Irene Catania, N.D., C.A.
has been practicing in Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey since 1995. She works with a multitude of conditions. This is possible with a system of health care where you don't specialize in any one disease, but specialize in therapeutic modalities to restore total health. Dr. Catania notes, "When you understand the mental/emotional/stress factors combined with the biochemical and functional imbalances, then it is a matter of individualizing therapies to restore balance and health."
Dr. Catania has a long history of working with chronic and challenging conditions. These may include: pain, chronic fatigue, allergies, gastrointestinal problems, anxiety, depression, ADD, neurologic disorders, hormonal imbalances, immune disorders, sugar imbalances, cardiovascular concerns, and healthy aging programs.
Dr. Catania received her doctorate in naturopathic medicine degree from Bastyr University in 1994 and is licensed as a naturopathic physician in Connecticut. She
completed a diploma in acupuncture from the Eastern School of Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine in 2002 and is licensed in New York and New Jersey. She has received numerous certifications in related areas of study, including advanced courses in homeopathy.
Dr. Catania has taught at the Eastern School of Acupuncture, Rutgers pre-med seminar series, and serves as clinical preceptor for various naturopathic colleges.
